The sanctuary has been taken over by robins!

We seem to be a hot spot right now for nesting robins…
The sanctuary has been taken over by robins!  If you’ve come down to spend some of your summer holidays in Essex with us recently, you may have noticed a number of robins who have become very friendly! They like to venture into different places like the office, store room, Max’s Café, and even the reptile room.
They have built a nest in the house where the toilets are, and the babies recently tried to prematurely fly the nest. The little one in the photo above was found in the ladies’ toilet and was quickly returned to the nest. It didn’t learn its lesson straight off though – it continued to do the same thing three more times before realising it wasn’t quite ready to fly, and went back to letting mum continue care for it.
