We come to Max’s cafe all the time because it is just such an easy and lovely experience. It’s situated in Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, where it’s free to park (bonus!) and you don’t actually have to visit the sanctuary, although half the time we do end up doing just that. If you just want food though, they have a great menu, so far everything we’ve tried has been delicious. They have an excellent selection, and it’s surprisingly inexpensive, in fact feeding my 3 kids here has worked out cheaper than anywhere else in the local area (another big bonus!). The staff in the café are all really friendly and accommodating, it’s clean and overall really pleasant. Check their opening times before you go to avoid disappointment, I’ve found them very responsive on Facebook Messenger and usually message ahead to check they are open.
