CLAIRE BASS

Claire Bass is Senior Director of Campaigns and Public Affairs at Humane Society International/UK and has been working in the animal protection movement for over two decades, working on successful campaigns including for the Animal Welfare (Sentience) Act, bans on glue traps, a ban on the dog meat trade in South Korea, and HSI's Forward Food programme, which has trained hundreds of chefs in plant-based cooking. She is currently leading several campaigns including for a #FurFreeBritain, and 'The Crate Escape' for a ban on pig farrowing crates. Claire is the Chair of the Animal Welfare Strategy Group for Wildlife and Countryside Link and a Trustee for the Joanna Toole Foundation.

Claire holds an MSc in Marine Environmental Protection from the University of Wales and in her early career conceived and launched the Global Ghost Gear Initiative. Vegan since 2003, she lives in Brighton with her family, including two cats and dog Henry, who she helped rescue from a dog meat farm in South Korea.

James Costa is an award winning documentary producer. He has been an animal advocate for over 25 years and is currently Vice President for the Board of Directors for Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. He is an Executive Producer on the recent documentary Resident Orca. He is on the National Council for The Roundabout Theatre and a member of BAFTA/LA as well the Producers Guild of America. He is based in Los Angeles with his cat Tommy, his guinea pigs Madeline and Shortcake and his rabbit Lady Leona.

WENDY HIGGINS

Wendy Higgins is Director of International Media at Humane Society International and has more than two decades' experience working in animal advocacy, specialising in media and communications. The campaigns on which she works span the globe, from campaigning to end the dog and cat meat trades in Indonesia and Viet Nam and humane street dog programmes in Chile, to the care of more than 60 former laboratory chimpanzees at HSI/Africa's sanctuary in Liberia, ending the global fur trade, seeking an end to commercial whaling and promoting HSI's life-saving work rescuing and caring for animals caught up in disasters such as earthquakes, wildfires and floods.

Wendy works with NGOs, celebrities, influencers, journalists and other creatives across the globe to bring an end to the suffering of animals. A passionate animal protection professional, and vegetarian then vegan since a child, she lives in Twickenham with her partner Rob, their daughter Mia and dog Pip.

Aimée Anderson

Aimée is a pioneering entrepreneur focused on social impact and making a difference, with a 20+ year career in media. Having worked with some of the world's biggest entertainment brands including Disney, DreamWorks, and Sony Pictures, Aimée is now producing independently as well as advising other purpose-led organisations.
