After the success of our animal meet and greets, feeds and educational talks over the summer, we’ve extended the schedule to EVERY weekend
We have some sad news to bring to you today as we had to say goodbye to Candy, our gentle pony.
Many of you would have followed her story over the past couple of weeks as she was battling laminitis due to Cushing’s disease. Just as we thought she was recovering we noticed she’d started to have more bad days than good. After discussions with Ana, our vet from House & Jackson, we decided that it was just too much for Candy and it was time to let her go.
Even though we’ve only had her a short time, she definitely melted everyone’s hearts. She was so gentle and loved all the attention.
Thank you to Ana, and Carl (our farrier), for all the treatment they gave Candy to try and make her more comfortable. Also a massive thank you to everyone who has been following her story and kept her in their thoughts – without your support we wouldn’t be able to help animals like Candy.
She will be missed by everyone that knew her.
