After the success of our animal meet and greets, feeds and educational talks over the summer, we’ve extended the schedule to EVERY weekend
Staff and volunteers are shocked after having to say goodbye to little Finn today.
He came to the sanctuary after being rescued with his girlfriend, after they’d been neglected. Sadly his girlfriend never made it to Hopefield as her injuries were too bad. Finn became ill on Sunday and was rushed to the vets to try and treat him. Sadly, after a few days, he still wasn’t responding to treatment and the vets said the kindest thing would be to put him to sleep.
Finn was a firm favourite with everyone, both human and animal. He was so cheeky, and when you went out in the field he would run over to give you a little nip to say hi. He was truly the cutest, funniest pony, and at the age of 8 he was taken far too early. Everyone’s hearts are breaking but he can now be reunited with his girlfriend. We would like to thank the team at The Horse Clinic (House & Jackson) for trying their best to save him.
