Peter & Benjamin – Dumped In A Cardboard Box

On Monday afternoon we were taken by surprise when a member of the public arrived at the sanctuary with two rabbits. These poor bunnies had been found dumped in a box (an all too frequent occurrence), and weren’t just left on a pathway for someone to find – they had been tucked into a hedge and were thankfully discovered by someone playing football 🐰

One of them is covered in what appears to be rabbit bites, which, as they’re both un-neutered males, was probably caused by them fighting 😢

Peter & Benjamin are currently being fostered by Office Manager, Sophie, who’s ensuring they receive lots of TLC whilst we create a space for them at the sanctuary 🥰

Both will be paying a visit to our vet tomorrow, and will also need to be castrated later on down the line. If you would like to make a donation to help cover the cost of their care then please visit hopefield.org.uk/donate It’s thanks to our generous supporters that we’re able to cover the cost of unexpected veterinary treatment and provide the best possible care to our animals 💙
