One year since Blu arrived at Hopefield

This beautiful girl has been in our lives for a whole year.
It’s been a year since we welcomed Blu into the Hopefield family, and what a transformation she’s had!
For those of you who don’t know her story, she arrived unexpectedly after she was found tied to a park bench, cold and malnourished. After speaking to the vets who said she would be put to sleep and we were her last hope, we went along the same afternoon to collect her. We aren’t a rehoming centre, so don’t usually take in dogs as we only have a limited few spaces at the sanctuary, but we couldn’t bear the thought of even more harm coming to this poor girl.

Blu on the day she arrived at Hopefield
It was obvious on arrival that she was absolutely petrified of people and her tail was placed firmly between her legs.

Fast forward today, and Blu now lives in a large, custom-built area with her friend Rufus, and she couldn’t be happier. This cheeky duo love to give Lianne a run for her money, and despite their giant size, they’re big babies at heart. We’re so pleased that we were able to save Blu and ensure that she’s shown nothing but love and affection, like all animals deserve.
