Dougal and Dustin came to Hopefield in March 2018 as almost new-born lambs, rescued from the meat trade. Initially, 3 lambs came to us, all with health issues as they had been rejected by their mother. Dylan sadly passed away as his respiratory infection developed into pneumonia
Dougal had a bacterial infection in his joints so needed several courses on antibiotics. Dustin was a lot smaller, and at 1 week old, was found in the farmer’s barn almost frozen to death. Nobody believed he would pull through, but after some intensive care, he slowly but surely made a full recovery
They now have the freedom of living out the rest of their days at Hopefield, just like all our other residents.
