Houdini the rescue turkey has a lucky escape

Houdini would have been raised and slaughtered to become someone’s Christmas dinner. An estimated 7 million turkeys are produced for the UK’s Christmas market each year, and sadly, most never get the chance to grow old. There’s more on this in our blog about why a turkey’s life is worth more than a meal, so do read and share if you can. READ HERE.

But Houdini’s story has taken a very different turn. He now has a safe home at Hopefield, where he’ll receive the care he needs and the chance to grow up, discover his personality and simply enjoy being a turkey. We’re so grateful to the lovely people who helped him. Their kindness changed his whole future.

Welcome to the Hopefield family, Houdini. You’re safe now
