Not only do we think that we’re the best place to see animals in Essex (humble brag), but we’re also a good place to come if you’re looking for a wonderful, meaningful gift for all the animal lovers you know!
Whether you choose our brand new sponsorship animals, Bonnie and Pumpkin the Highland Cows, or plump for an old Hopefield favourite such as Tilly the Cat or Simon the Sheep, we’ve definitely got a cheeky character for you to sponsor as an Xmas gift to yourself or to loved ones. These will be sent via tracked mail and cut off for guaranteed Christmas delivery is 18th December 2023. Sponsorships for an animal here at Hopefield are £30 per year and 100% of this goes towards keeping the animals fed, sheltered and showered with love! In return for your generous sponsorship you will receive a welcome letter, fact sheet on your animal, ‘Top Trump’ style postcard of your chosen animal, window sticker, sponsorship certificate and a one-time free entry voucher.
Launched for 2023, our Ethical Animal Experiences are for two people and although we’re not taking any more bookings for this season, you can purchase one as a gift to use in 2024. All experiences include lunch and general admission to the sanctuary for the day, and the experience itself will run for approximately 30 minutes. Choose from:
Donkey Date – Meet our cheeky donkeys up close and personal, and then receive a sponsorship pack for Regina & Ernie, Doris, Digby & Lenny, or Ned at the end of the session.
Pig Tickles – Our pigs love a belly rub and tickles, but most of all, they adore dinner time. You will get to help prepare and feed our hungry piggies like Jammy Dodger. You will receive a sponsorship pack for either Jammy Dodger or Dexter at the end of the session.
Cow Cuddles – You will get to go in with our beautiful rescued cows, make a fuss of them, and see if they’re in the moo-od for a cuddle. Our cows love a bread treat, so you’ll also get to hand feed Jude, and handsome young chaps, the cheeky Jerseys, Arlo & Oakley. You will receive a sponsorship pack for Jack at the end of the session.
Sheep Shenanigans – Come and make friends with Dustin and Dougal, and our the very charismatic Simon. You will get to help prepare a tasty treat and feed our sheep before receiving a sponsorship pack for one of the aforementioned chaps at the end of the session.
Pony Glow Up – You will get to spend some one-on-one time with one of our rescued ponies, and give them a stunning glow up. Our pony residents love a groom, and showing off how good they look to the others! Before you leave you will receive a sponsorship pack for Little Tan or Peter Pan.
We’ve created a gorgeous Hopefield calendar that we just know Yule love this Xmas and beyond! Packed with familiar sanctuary faces, this is a present that keeps on giving all year round! Cut off date for ordering is 17th December so that we can get them in the post in time for Xmas.
