Johnny’s Cancer Treatment Update

We have a difficult update to share about our lovely donkey, Johnny. Our vets came out to Hopefield earlier this week to check on him following his recent cancer treatment. Sadly, the treatment hasn’t worked as well as we had hoped, which means Johnny will need to return to the vets in around 10 days’ time for a further stay and additional treatment.

It’s obviously not the news we were hoping for, but for now, Johnny is safe, comfortable and being very well cared for here at Hopefield.

Our team are making sure he is thoroughly spoilt with plenty of fuss, love and enrichment to keep him happy and occupied while we prepare for the next stage of his treatment. We’ll continue to monitor him closely and do everything we can to keep him comfortable.

We know how many people have followed Johnny’s journey and are rooting for this very special boy. Every donation, share and message of support has meant so much to us and helps us continue to provide the veterinary care Johnny needs.
