We had to say a sad goodbye to Peaches the pig

One of the hardest parts of animal rescue is having to say goodbye, and last week we had to say goodbye to Peaches the pig.
We had to say a very sad goodbye to our lovely Peaches last week after she completely lost the use of her back legs.

Peaches came to us at just 8 weeks old with her sister, Fidget, who we lost in October last year. They were Kune Kune x Vietnamese Pot Belly pigs whose parents had been kept separately until one evening the boar made an escape in which the end result was 17 piglets! Their owner rang us desperately trying to find homes for them, and we agreed to take this sweet duo.

They both lived a long and happy life here at Hopefield, and they will be sorely missed by all who knew them. RIP Peaches, you were loved by all.
