Welcome to the Hopefield Family, Baby Maya Grace!

There’s been a very special new arrival at Hopefield Animal Sanctuary – and this time, it isn’t one of our rescued animals! We’re delighted to introduce beautiful Maya Grace, the brand new daughter of our wonderful Office Administrator, Shannon. Maya was born on 12th June, and we’re thrilled to say that both mum and baby are doing brilliantly.

It was such a joy to welcome Maya to Hopefield for the very first time recently, along with Shannon. Seeing our Hopefield family continue to grow is always incredibly special, and we couldn’t wait to introduce our newest little visitor to some of our rescued residents.

We hope this is just the first of many visits as Maya grows up surrounded by the animals who call Hopefield home. There really is something magical about children spending time with animals from a young age. It helps nurture kindness, compassion and respect for all living creatures, while creating a lifelong appreciation for the importance of animal welfare and conservation.

At Hopefield, we’re passionate about inspiring the next generation to care for animals of every shape and size. Whether it’s feeding a friendly goat, meeting one of our rescued horses or simply learning each animal’s unique story, these early experiences can leave a lasting impression and help children develop empathy that stays with them for life.

We’re sure Maya will soon have her favourite rescued residents – and we can’t wait to watch her confidence and love of animals grow with every visit.
