We’ve been making the most of the January sales!

At Hopefield, we’re always looking for ways to better the welfare of our residents in our strive towards being the best animal sanctuary in the UK, so we’ve been making the most of the January sales and have upgraded Micky and his slithery friends vivariums, with new UV systems!

UV light is important for snakes because it helps them absorb calcium and synthesise vitamin D3. Vitamin D3 is a hormone that helps with many functions in the body, including bone structure, immune system, and brain function.
