Drumroll please… Hopefield Animal Sanctuary is not only one of the best things to do in Essex, it turns out we’re in the best 10% of attractions in the WORLD! Tripadvisor has informed us that part of its Travellers’ Choice Awards, we have been chosen because of our consistently good feedback on the review platform to receive this amazing accolade, and we can’t thank all of you who took the time to review us enough!
We love doing what we do, and welcoming visitors to the sanctuary so that we can show you how we rescue, rehabilitate and give a home for life to our residents is a huge part of our ethos. So, from all the staff and the 600+ birds, reptiles and animals we have here at Hopefield, thank you again and we can’t wait to have you come and visit our award-winning haven again soon! Here’s what our CEO, Dave, has to say about our win:
“It was a wonderful surprise to learn of this award, and was welcome news after what has been a difficult year for the sanctuary. Having found out in early 2023 that we could no longer have our rescued exotic animals on display to the public (more on that here), we had to really think outside the box when it came to coming up with news ways to offer a value-for-money, fun experience for visitors. With the installation of a new playground and a soft play bus, as well as extra activities such as an eduction room, visitor’s centre and Ethical Animal Experiences, we are thrilled that people clearly love what we have been busy doing, with the Tripadvisor reviews reflecting that. With over 600 rescued souls to care for here, where they have a home for life, it is recognition like this that really helps spread the word about us an animal sanctuary, and in turn raise the funds needed to keep doing what we do. Thank you to everyone who left a review and for the continued support of the Hopefield community.”
