Support Your Local Animal Sanctuary This Summer: Help Us Keep Hopefield’s Rescued Animals Fed

Hopefield has sadly had to launch its first Summer Hay Appeal to help keep our rescued animals fed as prolonged hot, dry weather leaves our fields with little grass.

Hopefield Animal Sanctuary is asking for your help this summer as we launch our first ever Summer Hay Appeal. The prolonged period of hot, dry weather has left our fields extremely parched, with very little grass available for our grazing animals. Our fields have taken such a battering that they simply haven’t had enough time to recover, meaning we are now having to provide additional hay to make sure our rescued animals have enough to eat.

For an animal sanctuary caring for hundreds of rescued animals, this is a significant and completely unexpected cost at an already challenging time of year. We are also increasingly concerned about the longer-term impact of the dry weather on hay and straw supplies. With demand expected to increase and supplies potentially becoming more limited, prices could rise considerably as we move towards the winter months.

How You Can Help Hopefield’s Rescued Animals

Every bale of hay makes a difference.

  • £6.50 could provide one bale of hay
  • £13 could provide two bales
  • £32.50 could provide five bales
  • £65 could provide ten bales

With so many rescued horses, donkeys, cows, sheep, goats and other grazing animals relying on us, every donation will help us provide the food they need.

Support Your Local Animal Sanctuary

When you support Hopefield, you are helping a local animal sanctuary continue to provide lifelong care for animals who have nowhere else to go.

Whether you are able to make a donation, visit the sanctuary, sponsor an animal or simply share our appeal with friends and family, your support helps us continue caring for the animals who call Hopefield home.

Please donate to our Summer Hay Appeal if you can:

If you are unable to donate, sharing this appeal can make a huge difference too. The more people who see it, the more chance we have of reaching the support we need.

Please help us keep Hopefield’s rescued animals fed this summer — one bale at a time.
