Animal rescue in Essex: a busy week of arrivals at Hopefield

It’s been a busy week here at Hopefield taking in rescues of all kinds!

Hopefield continues to be one of the busiest animal rescues in Essex, and last week we had 15 new arrivals!

2 x hamsters

2 x gerbils

2 x budgies

1 x bearded dragon

3 x Moorish geckos

1 x python

1 x king snake

1 x dog (bichon frisé x poodle)

1 x duck

1 x cockatiel

Whilst we’re so pleased we were able to provide these animals with a forever home here, we’re constantly fighting a losing battle. As much as we wish we could help every animal we’re asked to take, we don’t have infinite space and funds. We’ll never take in new animals if that decision would negatively impact the quality of life of the residents already in our care.
