Dave started way back in 1997, at just 17 years old, as part of a full-time college course. The sanctuary wouldn’t be where it is today, if it weren’t for him and his partner, Lianne, who stepped up when founders Paula & Ernie sadly passed away many years ago.

When you think of Hopefield, Lianne is probably one of the first faces that springs to mind. Having been with us for over 20 years (we can’t believe it either!) she really is part of the furniture, and is invaluable to us, and the 600+ animals in our care.
Sophie Kemp
Office Manager
Sophie joined the team in February 2018 as an Office Assistant, and very quickly developed her role and responsibilities! She “failed” to foster 2 bunnies that were found dumped and brought to the sanctuary, and is loving being a bunny mum to them both!
Tracy Tristram
Marketing Officer
Starting in March 2023, Tracy (aka The Word Wizard) quickly settled into her role at the sanctuary. If she’s not cuddling the office tortoise, Trevor, she’s wandering round the sanctuary gathering socials content… phone in one hand, chai latte in the other!
