We’re delighted to share the news of two very special new arrivals at Hopefield Animal Sanctuary this week.

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Ivy and Jenny from the Flock, two beautiful Valais Blacknose sheep who have just joined our growing family of rescued animals here in Essex.

A Safe New Home for Ivy and Jenny

Ivy and Jenny arrived at the sanctuary after their owner sadly had to move abroad and was unable to find them a suitable new home. When we heard about their situation, we were more than happy to offer them a safe and loving place to live.

At just 4 and 5 years old, these lovely girls have plenty of life ahead of them, and we’re so pleased they will now spend it here at the sanctuary, surrounded by expert care, peaceful surroundings, and plenty of new animal friends.

Valais Blacknose sheep are known for their distinctive appearance and gentle nature, and Ivy and Jenny are no exception. With their fluffy coats and sweet personalities, we’re sure they’ll quickly become favourites with both our team and our visitors.

Settling into Life at the Sanctuary

The pair are already beginning to settle into their new home and will soon be introduced to the rest of our sheep herd. At Hopefield, every rescued animal receives lifelong care, meaning Ivy and Jenny can now enjoy a safe, happy future with everything they need.

Our team will continue to monitor them closely as they settle in, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure in their new surroundings.

Visitors will be able to meet Ivy and Jenny when Hopefield Animal Sanctuary reopens on 27th March, following our annual winter closure.
