Our lovely flock of sheep had their annual haircuts last week, and just in time — it hit a scorching 34°C a few days later. Millie is sporting her new look and loving being free from her weighty fleece. If a sheep is not sheared, it can suffer from a variety of health problems, including parasites, infections, and overheating, so our sheep (and alpacas) are sheared annually to keep them well-groomed and healthy.
We’re so glad they’re now feeling much cooler and more comfortable without their thick woolly coats, and we think ewe will agree that they look lovely.
