RIP Merlin – One of the shyest ponies we ever rescued

Goodnight sweet Merlin

We’re heartbroken to share that our beloved Merlin the pony has passed away. Merlin was rushed to the vets after suffering a prolapse and was taken straight in for emergency surgery. Sadly, it wasn’t the outcome we’d hoped for. Vets discovered growths in his intestines that couldn’t be fixed, and there was nothing more that could be done to save him.

Merlin was one of the most challenging ponies we’ve ever had the privilege of caring for. His difficult start in life left him with deep trust issues, and he didn’t let many people into his circle. But for those he did, it was an honour to be part of his world. We take comfort in knowing that Merlin got to spend many years here surrounded by love, patience, and kindness — something he so deeply deserved. He’ll be sorely missed by all who knew him. RIP sweet boy.
