RIP Juliet the raccoon

Goodbyes never get any easier.
Our hearts broke recently as we said goodbye to one of our beloved raccoons, Juliet. She fell suddenly unwell and was rushed to the vets, where it was discovered she had a mass in her lungs. Heartbreakingly, there was nothing that could have been done to save her.
Juliet arrived at Hopefield in 2019 with her brother Romeo, after their owner could no longer care for them. Sadly, Romeo passed away a couple of years ago – and while we take some comfort in the thought of them being reunited, our team is devastated by the loss of this sweet girl. For the past six years, Juliet has lived her best life here – frolicking with the other raccoons, and especially enjoying her swing, where she’d stash treats away from the others! She brought so much joy to those who cared for her, and she’ll be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
Rest peacefully, Juliet – you’ll always be in our hearts.
