Christmas is a magical time of year — full of kindness, compassion, and coming together to make a difference. Here at Hopefield, it’s also one of the most important seasons for our 600+ rescued residents.
Our wonderful goat, Blaze, arrived at the sanctuary back in 2017 with his bestie, Trinity, after their owner could no longer provide them with the care they needed. A favourite with staff, volunteers and visitors, Blaze was one of our biggest goats and one of our biggest goat field characters too! Unfortunately he had been deteriorating rapidly recently due to his old age, and after four visits from our vets, House & Jackson, the sad decision was made that it would be kinder to let him go peacefully and surrounded by people who loved him. We’ll miss you funny, adorable, cheeky Blaze! RIP, old man.
