RIP Bandit – We’ll miss you

Sadly, over the weekend, we lost one of our beloved raccoons, Bandit.

As an exotic pet animal rescue, Bandit came into our care back in 2015 with two other raccoons, Asoka & Tallulah, as their previous owners no longer needed them for breeding. Sadly, when he arrived at Hopefield he wasn’t in the best condition – he was underweight and his fur was not great either. With love and care he soon thrived in his new home and became a firm favourite with staff, volunteers and visitors alike.

In recent weeks, his age had started to catch up with him, and our team were keeping an extra close eye on him, but on Saturday morning he was rushed to the vet as he suddenly became unwell, and not long after, we had to say our final goodbye

Bandit will be missed by all of us, but especially his raccoon friends, Freya, Juliet and Meeko. RIP Bandit.
