How small changes can make a difference…
It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of Bonnie the Highland Cow. Bonnie passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her sister Pumpkin and the rest of the herd — Arlo, Oakley, Mildred and Jack. While we take comfort knowing she was calm and with her family, her loss has deeply affected everyone at Hopefield Animal Sanctuary.
Bonnie was a truly special cow, loved by everyone who met her for her cheeky personality and gentle nature. She will be sorely missed by her herd, her keepers, and most of all by her sister Pumpkin, whom we will be watching closely in the coming weeks.
Over the past year, Bonnie and Pumpkin were the most-sponsored animals at Hopefield, and we know her passing will be felt by our supporters across the country. Thank you for loving Bonnie, supporting her, and keeping both Bonnie and Pumpkin in your hearts during this sad time.
