Jack The Cow

Jack arrived at the sanctuary in January 2021 from a city farm. They didn’t have enough grazing space for him, so they reached out to us. He now lives with our female dexter, Rosary, and it was love at first sight when they were introduced to each other.

Jack’s a very small breed of cow (dexter), who would usually be used in the meat industry. He’s a friendly and curious fellow, who is fascinated with the cats!

Cows are amazing animals, who deserve love and respect. We believe that all animals should be treated the same and given the right to a long, happy life.

When Ned arrived our staff were shocked by his state. After they learnt about Bella, they all put money together to save her too and then a few months later Peggy was born.
Came to Hopefield as her previous owner was rushed into hospital, and could no longer look after her.
