Sadly our beautiful Iguana Vlad has passed away. He had been suffering from heart problems for the last few years but with lots of love and care he made it to old age. Vlad was saved by William, one of our trustees, after he was asked to put him to sleep due to his aggression issues. The previous owners were persuaded to give him to us, and once at Hopefield he formed a particularly close bond with our CEO, Dave. Vlad was a real character, and although the grumpiest iguana that ever there was, entertained us all. He will be missed by everyone here at the sanctuary.
