Dear supporters,

We hope you are staying safe during this time.

We have some exciting updates to share with you including new residents, fun live streams and new ways to help us!

NEW £2 per month direct debit

We are excited to present a new way of supporting us, a £2 a month direct debit!

It has never been easier to help our team transform the lives of unwanted, sick or abandoned animals.

Our predicted income for this year is just 16% of what we made during the previous financial year, leaving the future of the sanctuary uncertain.

Plus every person that donates to this campaign will be added to a member’s page on Facebook where you’ll receive exclusive content, discounts and early event news!

Meet our new arrivals, Tubs & Shy

Our newest residents, Tubs and Shy, are settling in well to their new home at the sanctuary! Their enclosure is complete with lots of enrichment to allow them to behave in ways that they would in their natural habitat.

Over the last few years we've seen a huge spike in people buying exotic pets. Sadly, a lot of people do not research into these animals before purchasing them, and unfortunately that means a lot of them end up in sanctuaries and rescues like Hopefield, due to their extremely high level of care requirements.

They’ll be added to our list of sponsor animals soon so keep your eyes peeled for more updates!

Urgent Covid-19 Appeal

Sadly, as you know, the closure of the sanctuary and the current situation with Covid-19 has - and will - continue to put a massive financial strain on the charity, as our income comes from visitors and fundraising. Hopefield receives no government funding. We will be fighting for our survival daily through this ordeal as a small charity. We sadly do not have the kind of reserves that mean we can continue indefinitely.

Here are some ways to support us through this closure :

๐Ÿพ Donations of animal feed and hay. We have a donation box outside our gates so you don't have to come into contact with anyone.

๐Ÿพ Purchase items from our Amazon Wish List:

๐Ÿพ Purchase one of our animal sponsor packs online as a great gift for a loved one or a treat to yourself!

๐Ÿพ Like and share our social media posts which will help us spread awareness online

๐Ÿพ Set up your own online fundraising post for us on Facebook (we are a registered charity on there so can find us easily on the drop down list)

๐Ÿพ If you know of any grants or charity sponsorship through your work or community groups we would love to be made aware, so please do let us know.

Watch us Live

The team and the animals have been really missing seeing you at the sanctuary, so we will be bringing the sanctuary to you! Join us on Facebook at 2pm on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays to find out what's been going on, updates on our animals and more!

We also have an extra special announcement that on Saturday 9th May at 2pm we will be doing a live stream virtual tour of the sanctuary. More information will be coming out soon so check out our Facebook for updates!

Ewes on the Move

As we mentioned previously, we've had our field walkway extended, and new paddocks created. Our beautiful flock of sheep have now moved from the mixed sheep & goat paddock into their new enclosure, where they have plenty of grass to graze on, and lots of space to roam around!

The new walkway will now enable visitors to get up closer to our beautiful horses and ponies, and we hope you get to enjoy this very soon.

Thank You

Once again, we would like to say a HUGE thank you for all your continued support. It's thanks to people like you that we're able to continue the work that we do, and provide a forever home to animals in need.
