To our dearest supporters,

We are very sorry to have to announce that we have had to make the extremely tough decision to close to the public until further notice, due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. The safety of our staff, volunteers and visitors is of paramount importance to us, and we want to take every measure to protect our local community and the sanctuary.

We can assure you the animals will continue to enjoy care, love and cuddles every day from our dedicated sanctuary team and we will keep you updated on how the animals and the sanctuary are getting on via our social media.

Sadly the closure of the sanctuary and the current situation has - and will - continue to put a massive financial strain on the charity, as our income comes from visitors and fundraising. Hopefield receives no government funding. We will be fighting for our survival daily through this ordeal as a small charity. We sadly do not have the kind of reserves that mean we can continue indefinitely.

Here are some ways to support us through this closure :-

๐Ÿพ Can you make a small monthly donation? Even £1 can make a difference.

๐Ÿพ Donations of animal feed and hay. We will have a donation box outside our gate for contactless donations.

๐Ÿพ Purchase one of our animal sponsor packs online as a great gift or a treat to yourself!

๐Ÿพ Like and share our posts which will help us spread awareness online

๐Ÿพ Set up your own online fundraising post for us on Facebook (we are a registered charity on there so can find us easily on the drop down list)

๐Ÿพ Donate via our Amazon wish list

๐Ÿพ If you are aware of any grants or charity sponsorship through your work or community groups we would love to be made aware, so please do let us know.

We appreciate these are difficult times for everyone - we have been in Brentwood and part of this community for over 35 years, and our thoughts and prayers are with everyone during this period.

We hope you stay safe and thank you for your continued support.

The animals, staff, volunteers and trustees of Hopefield Animal Sanctuary.
