Chewie is such a happy alpaca and loves being with all the others. He loves grated carrot and sugar beet!
Andre, Lori, and Rio arrived at the sanctuary in 2021, after the mobile zoo they were previously at could no longer afford to keep them.
The sanctuary is already home to 3 other meerkats: Tubs, Shy and Masai – however the two groups cannot be integrated, so we built a custom-made meerkat enclosure, where both groups can be housed side-by-side.
These guys are so inquisitive, and love climbing up on rocks and branches to see what’s going on!
